4 Years of Spider-Plush: 4th Year Recap

The 4-Year Celebration continues here, I'm here to give you a recap of the 4th year, for a recap of the other 3 years, click here

Drawn by wet_dream04 on twitter.

This 4th Year, it's been crazier than the others. Or at least my brain thinks so.

November 2023:

I was tasked with making a list of things that i actually give a shit about and it was fun. that's all...

December 2023:

The biggest things that happened were probably the Evil Spider-Man Christmas Special.

Also, the first official Spider-Plush Awards, the winner was the 2099 Spider-Man plush. SONIC WINTER JAM HAPPENED; HOW COULD I FORGET.

January:

I had to take a break to focus on some personal stuff, i can't go too much into it but i will say that i was a secret agent for a bit, i had cool gear and stuff. I also got called a "fuzzy lumpkins built ass bitch" which is ridiculous.

I was also a cool radical kid for a bit, but then the joke got old incredibly fast and i just stopped doing it.

January was pretty uneventful.

February:

On February, i released "The BEST Spider-Men" in which i talked about the best online spider-men. cool, that was my valentine's day special.

This was also the month where i reached 2000 followers, all thanks to a fake screenshot i made.

February was pretty uneventful.

March:

MARCH THO, MARCH STARTED OFF CRAZY STYLE. (To a guy like me, that's just normal style).

Comic writer Chip Zdarsky went to a convention and user DDKeyD was like "I'm gonna ask him some fan questions lol" and i asked something completely stupid, i wasn't expecting to get a response...

And it pisses me off, couldn't he have said something nicer?

What pisses me off the most is that everyone agreed with him, and that was MEAN. And i have no way of telling Chip that this was so mean... damn...

In all seriousness though, thank you to Chip :D

And big thanks to DDKeyD, go check out their page :D

Later that month, i had to make the decision of leaving Daily Spider-Figures, i know it doesn't seem like a big deal, and it really isn't, but running the account sucked. I came back a few months later.

April:

April was also pretty uneventful, but my April Fools prank was pretty funny. I turned Daily Spider-Plush into Daily Web-Plush. i was planning on posting something here for April Fool's Day but I'll save it for next year.

Also, on April 25, i had my 17th birthday, and i had to make something for such an occasion, so i made the third installment in the Random Hour series.

Other than that, nothing else happened other than me starting a new series where i share world news.

May:

Evil Spider-Man returns with issue #18, he visited the 2nd dimension, a world where everything is upside down.

I also started a new review series where i review things i've seen in one month. I like this format.

Also, there was Random Hour 3.5, in which i featured things that didn't make it to the other random hours.

May was alright, could've been better but i can't complain

June:

most of what happened in June was on the site, so let me mention the 2 important posts.

A Stupid Fucking Ship That Doesn't Fucking Work: This one was in the works for a while, i was thinking about making a post about ships that i think were stupid, but i could only think of one, BARROLIN. This was the first and maybe the only post to ever have a censored version.

Another Ship Debunked: The day i posted the first shipping rant, a Marvel Vs Capcom re-release was announced, and it caused people to talk about how Spider-Man and Morrigan from Darkstalkers definitely fucked. And i felt like it was my job to debunk that stupid-ass claim. It is up to you to decide whether I did a good job debunking these ships.

Oh, and also the 3rd year anniversary of the Daily Crew Incident. #DailyGate, #SixEleven

Spider-Man 2 had its 20-year anniversary and i finally didn't call it a shit movie, woohoo!

July:

Rek-Rap unfortunately passed away on issue 53 of ASM (volume 6) and that made me pretty sad.

San Diego Comic-Con took place and i used my amazing journalistic skills and made posts detailing all the things that were announced. NOTE: It's July 12 as i am writing this, so there's a slight chance that i didn't write anything at all.

I also got sick, which caused the 20th issue of Evil Spider-Man to be delayed to early august.

August:

Evil Spider-Man issues 20 and 21 released, and everyone loved them, and everyone is happy, and they say it's the best thing they've ever read.

Also, Spider-Man Day happened, and i had to make a special post about it, check out The Spider-Man Day Special 2024, which is my longest post ever.

I also released The Spider-Figures Fiasco, which is a document that tells the story of the HORRIBLE things that happened to me in my time as an admin for Daily Spider-Figures.

I went back to school, which is cool because i get to see my IRL friends but is not cool because that will slow down the production of these posts.

September:

Welp, September has been crazy in the way that it's SUPER FUCKING HOT, I HATE WARM WEATHER, I'D RATHER DIE THAN LIVE ANOTHER DAY IN THE WARM WEATHER.

Oh, hey, the weather's colder now, that's pretty nice.

Well, this month was very lackluster in terms of content, but i got 2 hit tweets back-to-back, one about Spider-Man fans not reading comics and one about Spidey maybe being Jewish. I had never heard the phrase "It depends on the iteration" so many times.

I also left Spider-Figures again.

October:

I started this section called "The 27 Days of Spider-Plush" where i share the most important spider-plushies.

A lot of things are happening this month, the Plush Reviews, the Recap, Random Hour 4, the Halloween Special... okay maybe not that, but HOLY SHIT DUDE.

Well, that's it for the recap. Don't know what you want me to tell you, happy 4 years? Let's make year 5 the best one.

ko-fi.com/spiderplush (Donations go towards stuff for year 5, so donations go towards nothing.)

NEXT: Random Hour 4.
