Hey guys, all 0 of you, here is one of those reviews that i do. you know, those classic spider-plush reviews. so today im gonna be reviewing issue 14 of spider-man, first appearance of the green goblin.
HERE IS THE COVER THAT I COPIED AND PASTED FROM THA MARVEL SITEE
So the cover features Spider-Man apparently trying to hide but he isn't hiding very well because everyone can see him, but WAIT, there is this green guy with purple clothes! (the one in the flying gray thing) this nice fellow is called THE GREEN GOBLIN and he isn't nice at all. Also the enforcers are there, but if 6 characters wasn't enough, just look at the other green dude on the blue box with a red border and some text. This guy is the HULK, he was in his own series, but it was cancelled because people don't appreciate the hulk enough and now he just makes appearances in tales to astonish with some dude called namor, the cover is good, there's not much to say other than this paragraph i just wrote.
Now i am reading this comic from a trade paperback that has some appearances of Goblin, nothing really interesting, just wanted to tell you that.
This story takes place in some guy's movie studio. He is about to release the same movie with a different name, now i didn't watch 1960's movies but i hope no one was fucking stupid enough to do that, it would cause the biggest controversy in Hollywood. (who am i kidding, hollywood is full of controversy.)
Now, i couldn't find any info other than the fact that movies sometimes have working titles, for example: Amazing Spider-Man had the title "FIONA'S TALE" for some reason.
But whatever, let's just read the fucking comic.
So green goblin proposes an idea for a Spider-Man movie, and this is exactly how the pitch meetings at sony were back in 2000. Now imagine CBM twitter nerds talking about this movie saying shit like"WOoooow Spider-Man vs the enforcers the movie is better than iron boy jr." and then they get 10k likes and 50 replies saying "NOaodnosndfs sdsps ratuio"
Also, THIS ISSUE ABOUT MAKING A MOVIE CAME OUT RIGHT AFTER THE ISSUE FEATURING THE EVIL VFX GUY, but whatever, peter hears about a green thing in the sky and goes to investigate, it's the goblin, telling him to go to hollywood. So The Enforcers and Spider-Man go to hollywood and they go to an actual real desert to beat the shit out of each other on camera, in case you didn't know, this is a trap and spider-man is gonna fucking die.
So spidey goes to a cave and finds hulk and they fight and green goblin fights spidey and they go back to nyc and the producer dude cancels the fucking film that they already filmed, they are just like warner brothers.
so they go back home and we don't get to see the green goblin's identity because idk, it's revealed on issue 39.
So the story is pretty good, it features lots of action, a good story and a cool cameo appearance. i give it a 9/10.
thank you for reading, shoutout to Dylan, i have met many cool people named Dylan, shoutout to all of them, they are really cool.
Don't forget that Spider-Man and other related characters and media are property of Marvel Entertainment.
See you later alligator.
