1 day ago i made a poll and you guys wanted me to review ASM 121 and 122 so here is the review.
Here's the cover for issue 121
Spidey is looking at a bunch of pictures of his friends and his only family member.
Also, Spider-Man, if you're reading this, why did you choose to make that goofy ass pose? it's my only problem with this cover, the fucking silly pose. There is this TASM 2 poster where they use the pose from another poster. I would try to find it, but i am lazy as fuck and don't wanna look for it, just google "TASM 2 poster" I'm sure you will find it.
In this issue, someone is gonna fucking die holy shit, can you guess who? Now, three of the characters featured on the cover aren't even in this issue (Aunt May, Hobie Brown, Flash Thompson) Two of them appear for like, one page or two, and one of them is the protagonist (they can't kill him, he's marvel's cash cow, but imagine if they killed him, and imagine if they killed him in another universe where he was only 16 years old, that would be silly.)
But enough about the cover, let's actually read this comic. So we start with spider-man looking through a window like a fucking creep, Harry Osborn is not in a very good condition, maybe it's because he was taking drugs again but idk.
So last issue, spider-man went to Canada and met the hulk, they had a nice, civilized conversation and Spidey took pictures for the daily bugle.
So Spider-Man goes back to his Peter Parker Identity and tries to visit Harry but he is stopped by Norman Osborn.
He's just being an absolute jack wagon for no reason other than he hates Harry's friends. So they all leave to buy a coke, except they don't buy a coke, we never see them going to buy a coke, and dr pepper is way better (spider-man agrees).
So norman goes insane and walks 2 miles while looking like he's high and goes to his secret house thing to change into the green goblin, a few of the panels made me think it was night, but the next panel shows that it's still day time .

So Green Goblin is about to kidnap gwen because he knows where they live or something and he takes her to the Brooklyn Bridge or Golden Gate bridge or George Washington Bridge or whatever the fuck.
Peter goes back to his Spider-Man identity and goes to his house and finds a purse, a pumpkin bomb and a newspaper on the floor.
And he just randomly guesses where goblin is and they fight.
They show this really cool page, it's awesome, check it out
Very cool.
So gwen accidentally falls, but spider-man catches her with his web, day saved, yay, everyone is happy, nothing else happens. the end, 10/10.
Gwen Stacy is totally safe and definetly not dead...
BRO WHAT?!?!??!?!111 I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HOLY SHIT OMG
I can't believe Gwen Stacy's fucking dead. I just can't wait for the Dead Gwen Stacy Super Hero Squad figure, and the sony spin-off movie, and the animated show, and the comic series.
So let's go to the next issue
Imagine being a spider-man fan, you forgot to buy the last issue, then you look at this issue's cover and be like. "WHAT HOLY SHIT GWEN IS DEAD"
So, Spider-Man and Goblin are fighting and shit and spider-man falls and says something stupid, just take a look.
When i read this panel, i was like "what the fuck, lol lmao + ratio"
So peter goes to see harry, and then leaves because harry didn't tell him where the green goblin lives or something.
So then we see another very cool fight scene but peter cries about how he's about to become a murderer so he doesn't notice the giant metal thing about to kill him, but he has spidey sense and avoids it, and green goblin fucking dies.
Not much to say really, except for... RIP BOZO LMAO, L+RATIO+*insert laughing cat emoji*
And then peter goes home to cry (he does that every day) and also MJ is there, Peter tells her to get the fuck out because he is shaking and crying rn but mj stays because why not.
so here are my final thoughts:
i can't believe gwen stacy is dead, 10/10
