San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Recap: Day 1

San Diego Comic-Con started off strong, i think, i don't know, i wasn't there, i'm just reporting on a lot of the shit that was announced there in the laziest and most brief way.

I'm not gonna be looking at all the news because SDCC is huge and if i tried to cover these news, this post would be a 30 minute read, and we can't have that on the site... yet.

  • First off, news that are not about SDCC but are still relevant. SAG-AFTRA is going on strike again, this time, it's Video Game voice actors going on strike against Disney, Insomniac, Electronic Arts, WB Games, and Activision. (there's other companies but they're obscure)

  • Deadpool & Wolverine is out in theaters and reactions seem mostly positive. Ok.

Now for Comic-Con announcements.

Thank god i don't care. Also i wish Deadpool wasn't there.

  • Also with a ferris wheel sponsored by Google Play. Wow, i did say that i wanted it to break, but i also hoped that no one gets injured. We'll see if that happens... It probably won't happen because i know Marvel, Google and SDCC are not cheapskates.

  • LIFE-SIZED T-REX DISPLAY AVAILABLE TO BUY FOR 18.5K BUCKS.

  • Jakks Pacific just had a panel revealing a bunch of figures. Hopefully they make a Barry Figure some time soon.

  • Nintendo announced the coolest shit ever.

  • something Fantastic Four related might happen soon.

  • God, this coverage sucks.

  • Gwenpool might be coming to Fortnite, this might be revealed later this weekend, idk man...

  • None of the things that i wanted to happen have actually happened but it's only day 1, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Wow, that coverage sucked, but hey, i gotta get this out before the day ends and i'm lazy af. But if i'm self aware about it then that means it's ok for me to be lazy.
