HELLO everyone, it's me, Spider-Plush. (Also known as Eddie.)
Today i wanna review a plushie, because it's my site and i can post whatever the fuck i want. (that was a bit mean, it will happen again)
But I am not gonna just review ONE plushie, I'm gonna review MORE THAN ONE PLUSHIE, HAHA!
As i said on my DeviantArt page (You guys know that i have a DeviantArt page), the plushies i am gonna review are:
I might review the rest of my collection later on.
I chose these plushies because they were the only ones that weren't hidden away in plush hell.
SO LET'S BEGIN THIS THING.
First off: the one i use as my profile pic on every website except Letterboxd.
I've told this story a few times but when i was [number] years old, i went to the flea market with my parents and saw a stand with a bunch of plushies and i noticed this spider-man plushie and instantly went "I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE" and i got it.
YOU may be thinking "I don't care about this guy's life, i care about the plush!" and i would be like "ok fine"
So, this plushie has definitely aged, or maybe it's just that he went to plush hell around 2014 and found again in 2019. This plushie was made by KellyToy, so this means that the quality of the fabric is great, so this thing won't fall apart if you look at it too intensely, however, since this is just a cheap carnival prize, he isn't very pretty, but that's what makes him great, his stupid fucking look. 10/10
Alright next plush
This one was made by funko, it's from their best plush lines, their Spider-Man: Homecoming plushies, this is the homemade suit. i saw this one at a flea market in 2021.
It's cute, but in that corporate kind of way, but it looks ok, and it looks like the funko designers did try to make an actually good plushie. The plushie doesn't have a lot of details, but it does looks like how he looked in the movie. HIS HOOD IS REMOVABLE HOLY SHIT. 7/10.
NEXT
This picture was taken in November 3rd, 2022 for a school thingy. The teacher just said "this week, just take a picture of whatever you want" and i took a pic of this dude.
This is Tsum Tsum Spidey, it is debatable whether or not this plushie is cute in the corporate way, but i personally believe that it's not. It's very good quality, which is not surprising because this is an officially licensed product that was sold in stores. The one i have is the Medium size one but you can get him in tiny size and HUGE size.
I love him so much. 9/10.
Let's move on to plushies based on my only other interest.
So, as some of you guys may know, i like to collect Video Game plushies, some of the plushies i collect are Sonic The Hedgehog plushies, i have a few sonic plushies, and i wanna review 3 of them.
This one was made by Jakks Pacific in 2021 question mark, he has a keychain thingy in his hand that i forgot to remove before taking this picture.
Getting an official sonic plushie in this country is hard because you always find bootlegs, however Santa Claus somehow found an official plushie and gave it to me on Christmas 2022, Thank you Santa!
So, this plushie is well made and the materials are nice, which is something you could say about every plushie in this article. 8/10.
Next
So, i haven't seen every episode of Sonic X, I've only seen episodes 1, 2, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13 and a bit of episode 14, so i can't really comment on the quality of the show, how does this relate to the plushie? It doesn't. So, this plushie was made by a company called Toy Network, i'm not sure if they are still around but they were kinda like Kellytoy in the way that they made cheap carnival prizes, and in 2003, they got the license to make Sonic plushies.
Something strange i've noticed about this line is that a lot of the plushies look like they are deflated, why? I don't know, but i've only seen this happen with this specific line, but that's what makes them great, if they weren't deflated, they would look weird.
This sonic plush is smiling and he has green eyes and he's blue and wears gloves and wears red shoes with gold buckles (my plush is missing one of them), and last time i checked, that's what he looked like, so 10/10.
The last plushie that we are gonna look at is this Tails plushie by Great Eastern Entertainment
Great Eastern is... well... great, and they make a lot of sonic plushies, in 2021, they made this line of chibi-looking plushies that are actually cute and not in that corporate kind of way.
The tag says "Not for children under 15 years", so if you're 14 and want one of these, just wait another year, I'm 16 so i can handle this. I guess chibi sonic characters are just too inappropriate for people under 15, so that's why the age restriction is there. No just kidding, this age restriction is probably because this plushie is not very soft and squishy, in fact, you can easily beat the shit out of someone with this thing, so be careful with this thing.
So this plushie stares at you with his soulless eyes, but i guess GE finds it cute. Hey, it's just a cute tails plushie, 10/10, one of their best plushies.
Yeah that's it for this article, thank you guys for reading and i will see you in the next part of this Spider-Plush 3 Year Anniversary Special, which will be coming out later today, i hope.
